UNFORTUNATELY, CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL HAVE LED TO THE CANCELLATION OF OUR SUMMER RETREAT IN SCOTLAND. PLEASE CONTINUE TO VISIT THE WEBSITE FOR UPDATES ON ANY FUTURE EVENTS
During this week our prayers are that you will receive Father’s Love and come to know your place as God's son/daughter.
The week is a mix of teaching, music and worship, as well as meditations provided and led by the team. Soaking is also a feature of our days and this will be explained in more detail during our time together. The idea is to provide time and space to encounter the love that we speak of.
The week is not a counselling week; we are not counsellors. The retreat aims to provide a foundation in the Biblical revelation of God as your Father and create time and space for you to encounter and experience this love.
The retreat will be led by John MacDonald with the Father's Love (Scotland) team. The retreat sessions will be taught in English. Unfortunately, there will be no translators available.
Teaching topics include The Heart of the Father, Forgiveness from the Heart, Being a Son, God's Heart of Nurture, The Nature of Love, The Father Revealed and more. The sessions will include Bible teaching, Bible-rooted Christian meditation/soaking times, prayer ministry and communal life.
PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOU ARE BRINGING CHILDREN YOU WILL NEED TO ENSURE SOMEONE WILL BE CARING FOR THEM TO AVOID DISTRACTING YOU TOO MUCH DURING THE SESSIONS, AS THERE IS NO CHILDCARE PROVIDED.
A copy of John MacDonald's book Loved to Life. Audio recordings of all sessions will be made available for download.
Jesus had the heart of a son to his Father as he lived in the love of the Father. John's Gospel tells us that everything that He said and did was what He saw and heard His Father doing. Jesus invites us to enter that world as brothers and sisters of Him. As we open our hearts, Father pours His love into them through the Holy Spirit. True and lasting change can occur in a heart transformed by His love.
Each day there will be sessions in the morning, afternoon and evening and you will need to attend all of these to obtain the full benefit of the retreat. Unlike a conference, where you can pick and choose which sessions you attend, we see the retreat as one long session punctuated by meals and sleep. During the retreat, we believe you will make many lifelong friendships.
A RESOURCES TABLE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR BOOK/CD PURCHASES
Should participants cancel their booking a refund can be made, though the deposit will be retained by Father's Love (Scotland).
John became a believer in 1985 after an encounter with God at a Church of Scotland Service in Glasgow (U.K.)He has served as Pastor at two churches in Staffordshire (England) and Glasgow (Scotland). In addition he has been involved in and led prophetic ministry, healing ministry as well as having served in various leadership roles in local church. In 2005 he had an encounter with the Lord which had a profound effect upon him, and has revolutionised his whole life and ministry.John is convinced that Sonship, living as Jesus did, is the call and core of Christian life. It is the burden of his heart that all people are made aware of the Father's burning desire for his offspring; that all encounter his embrace just as the lost son did (Luke 15:20).
